Elizabeth talks to Ciara on her show “unscripted” to talk about her journey to becoming a Mortician and Embalmer and also the new Eco-Friendly alternative to flame cremation and burial.

Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on RTE Radio One, Mother-of-three Elizabeth said: “Water cremation is a new eco friendly alternative to burial and flame cremation.
“It’s already very acceptable in the United States and hopefully we will have the first facility in Europe.

Elizabeth talks to Ryan about her business ventures starting from the age of 8 years. They also talk about her experience as a mortician and vision to have the first Water Cremation facility in Europe.

Elizabeth, who says she is the only person to hold a degree in mortuary science in Ireland, says she has been inundated with queries since she first mooted the idea and is currently in talks with planning departments to open the “aquamation centre” which will offer a water-based cremation.

A businesswoman and mother of three from Johnstown has plans to open the first eco-friendly cremation facility in Ireland. Mortician Elizabeth Oakes , who holds a degree in mortuary science will be soon offering water cremation as an alternative to flame creation and burial.
